BAHI Health Optimisation for Fertility is a natural fertility therapy, which focuses on improving metabolic health. We use oxygen and light therapies in the form of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and Photobiomodulation Light Therapy (PBM). We also add Hydrogen Inhalation and Vibration Therapy to the full treatment protocol to optimise the treatment.

BAHI Health Optimisation for Fertility takes place in our comfortable Health Optimisation Suite at the Harley Street Fertility Clinic. A full session is 75 minutes and leaves you feeling relaxed, energised and calm. There are options for individual shorter sessions using individual items of equipment, and we also offer Couples Sessions too.

How does BAHI Health Optimisation for Fertility work?

Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBM) and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) support metabolic health. Both prompt a biological response within the body, which leads to an uplift in mitochondrial energy and higher concentrations of oxygen within the blood. This leads to improved circulation, cellular energy production, tissue repair and increased oxygen delivery to the reproductive organs. Adequate oxygenation is important for mitochondrial energy production, cellular repair, blood vessel formation, and reducing oxidative stress within the ovaries and endometrium.

To complete this completely natural fertility therapy, we add Hydrogen Inhalation to support antioxidant processes within the metabolic system, and Vibration Therapy to improve blood circulation and muscle tone.

We have selected the most advanced metabolic health equipment, hand assembled in Korea by Hue Light, and designed to high medical equipment specifications. Light Therapy is delivered using the highest specification PBM Chamber in the world. For Hyperbaric Oxygen, patients relax in a seated leather chair which reclines and has a massage function built in. The Wave Motion Vibration machine is the only non motorised device of its kind, providing cellular vibration throughout the entire body.

Courses of Health Optimisation for Fertility Treatments

We work with each patient individually to recommend the best course of treatments. This is established in the first consolation, where you also have the opportunity to experience the recommended treatment.

Preparation for conception or IVF:
1 or 2 sessions a week over 4-6 weeks.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy improves oocyte yield and embryo quality in poor ovarian responders: a pre-post cohort study

HBOT significantly increased the number of oocytes, follicle output rate (FORT), follicle-to-oocyte index (FOI), two-pronuclear (2PN), available embryos, normal fertilization rate, and available embryos rate.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy for male infertility: a systematic review and meta-analysis on improving sperm quality and fertility outcomes

A comprehensive literature search identified nine eligible studies, which were assessed for quality using the Jadad scale and analyzed for heterogeneity. The meta-analysis revealed significant improvements in sperm survival, density, morphology, normal sperm rates, and motility following hyperbaric oxygen therapy, with an increased clinical pregnancy rate.
