As part of our commitment to leading edge technology solutions for fertility and reproductive health, Laser Medicine welcomes the Gigalaser for Fertility, at our London clinic. The Gigalaser for Fertility supports our work in reproductive health, to help us deliver our unique protocol for Laser Therapy for Fertility and Ovarian Rejuvenation in the UK.

Gigalaser for Fertility delivers the optimal dose of red light and near red light (600-1,000nm of Infrared (IR) and Near Infrared Red (NIR) wavelengths) for effective Photobiomodulation to take place within the reproductive organs. Our patients can now take Gigalaser for Fertility courses of treatments:

  1. As stand alone Laser Therapy for Fertility treatments or,
  2. In combination with Ovarian PRP and / or Ozone Sauna for Fertility sessions, included in our Ovarian Rejuvenation Programme.

Laser Medicine’s Ovarian Rejuvenation Programme (ORP) is designed for people over 35, trying to conceive naturally or by IVF, who have experienced a drop in egg or sperm quality because of their age. The Ovarian Rejuvenation Programme (ORP) combines Therapeutic Laser (PBM/Red Light) with Ovarian / Uterine PRP, and / or Ozone Sauna for Fertility protocols, to promote good reproductive health and improve fertility outcomes.

A combination of Laser Therapy, Ovarian PRP and Ozone Sauna triggers a process of increased vascularisation (blood flow), increased mitochondrial energy and elevated oxygenation within the reproductive organs. We have witnessed many improved fertility outcomes over the last few years – increases in the number of viable blastocysts from IVF cycles, and successful pregnancies and live births, either via natural conception or IVF.

  • Therapeutic Laser is a safe and effective adjunct to support ovarian rejuvenation. It is also known as Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and Red Light Therapy (because of the wavelengths used within the Infrared / Near Infrared range (600-1000nm)).
  • Ovarian PRP uses Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), which involves taking a small sample of the patient’s blood, then injected plasma into the ovaries and /or uterine lining under mild sedation. It is a short process carried out by expert gynaecologists in our Harley Street Fertility Clinic and clinical studies show positive results for improving ovarian function.
  • Ozone Sauna for Fertility has been studied by Dr Merhi in New York, to show improved ovarian and blastocyst quality after a course of treatments.

Gigalaser for Fertility Clinical Studies

After the Oshiro fertility studies in Japan which took place between 1996 to 2012 with repeated success, Powermedic’s Gigalaser for Fertility contributed to further studies in reproductive health and fertility. From 2018 Powermedic works in partnership with clinics in Denmark, Sweden, Canada and the USA with published success rates as high as 65%. Laboratory studies also show the effectiveness of Low Level Laser Therapy for Fertility due to the mechanism of Photobiomodulation within the reproductive system tissue in the following ways:

  • Enhanced mitochondrial activity and ATP production.
  • Increased oxygenated blood flow.
  • Reduction of oxidative damage.
  • Improved energetic value of a developing embryo in its early stages.
  • Improvement of other factors that may obstruct conception such as PCOS, endometriosis and abdominal adhesions.

At our Harley Street Photobiomodulation Fertility Clinic, we continue to monitor and celebrate the positive effects of Red Light Therapy for ovarian rejuvenation, reproductive health and fertility, and are confident that the Gigalaser for Fertility will be a crucial development in our work.
