What are the Ovarian Rejuvenation Treatments?

The basic premise of every Ovarian Rejuvenation Treatment is to improve metabolic health which helps the body to function better and for organs and tissue to behave in a more youthful way. This is particular useful for patients experiencing premature ovarian failure (POF), age-related non-specific infertility, low sperm quality, endometriosis and PMOS.

Ovarian PRP uses Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), which involves taking a small sample of the patient’s blood, and injecting the plasma into the ovaries under mild sedation. It is a short process carried out by expert gynaecologists in our Harley Street Fertility Clinic and clinical studies show positive results for improving ovarian function.
Therapeutic Laser is a safe and effective adjunct to support ovarian rejuvenation. It is also known as Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and Red Light Therapy (because of the wavelengths used within the Infrared / Near Infrared range (600-1000nm)). We house the famous Powermedic Gigalaser and frequently see positive results.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) involves breathing concentrated oxygen inside a pressurised chamber, increasing the amount of oxygen dissolved within the blood and delivered to tissues throughout the body. Improved oxygenation can support ovarian function, egg quality, embryo development, and endometrial health.

Low Light Laser Therapy as an adjunct IVF treatment.

Laser Therapy, also known as Red Light Therapy or Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) has proven successful in various clinics worldwide as an IVF adjunct treatment and also to help with natural conception. Since the Oshiro fertility studies in Japan which took place over many years from 1996 to 2012 with repeated success, other clinics have also seen fertility success rates as high as 65%. We have published studies carried out in our clinic which are listed below.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy as an IVF ancillary treatment.

Ovarian PRP intends to rejuvenate ovarian tissue, stimulate vascularisation, improve blood supply and re-awake dormant eggs into maturation for development within the ovary. Uterine PRP has shown to increase the depth of the uterine lining, with clinical studies already supporting the methodology.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy as an adjunct therapy for fertility

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a supportive therapy to improve reproductive health outcomes for men and women. By delivering high concentrations of oxygen under gentle pressure (1.3 – 1.5 ATA), HBOT may help improve circulation, cellular energy production, tissue repair, and oxygen delivery to the testes, ovaries and endometrium — areas critical for healthy reproductive function.
