As a long standing yoga practitioner Ruth Phypers believes in the importance of creating energy, strength and flexibility in the abdominal and uterine area, for conception, successful full-term pregnancy, and the long-term health of mother and baby. Ruth was privileged to spend time in Copenhagen with physiotherapist and fertility specialist Anne Marie Jensen, to experience her brilliant Fertility and Physical Therapy work, and to receive training in the Mojzisova Method, a physiotherapy system developed specifically for improved fertility, conception and pregnancy.

As a physiotherapist Anne Marie Jensen focuses on the development of a strong and healthy reproductive system, using the Mojzisova Method from the Czech Republic. She teaches a system of simple abdominal exercises in combination with courses of low level laser therapy (photobiomodulation / red light therapy). Anne Marie sees better conception and full term pregnancies for people who carry out the Mojzisova Method exercises on a daily basis, during conception and first trimester. At Laser Medicine we fully embrace this physical therapy method in combination with therapeutic laser, and we now educate our patients in this simple series of fertility and physical therapy exercises.

Low Level Laser Therapy, Fertility and Physical Therapy

Laser Therapy, also known as Red Light Therapy or Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT), is a key part of the Fertility and Physical Therapy programme. Success rates have proved as high as 65% for patients who have failed to fall pregnant many times before using various methods of conception. Furthermore, laboratory studies have repeatedly shown the effectiveness of Low Level Laser Therapy for Fertility due to enhanced mitochondrial activity and ATP production, increased blood flow and the reduction of oxidative damage, promoting the energetic value of the developing embryo in early stages.

At our Harley Street fertility clinic, we continue to monitor and celebrate the positive effects of photobiomodulation for reproductive health, embracing natural methods of Fertility and Physical Therapy, for the best possible outcomes.
